Just when you think that nothing is happening in the garden to relieve the bleakness of the early winter or to lift the spirits beyond the sodden fallen autumn leaves, native correas come to the rescue. Although tiny, these flowers from Tasmanian native correas are a reminder of the diversity of native flora and bring to the garden memories of rambles along wild and remote coastal tracks.

I saw a pair of crimson rosellas feasting on these in Canberra city on the weekend. Certainly did lift the spirits!
