Fun along Country Roads

One great thing about driving country roads in Tasmania is the sense of humour and creativity expressed in letter boxes often side by side in road side delivery clusters. One such road is a back road from Forth to Wilmot and the road to Ridgley.

But on this occasion, on the road to Circular Head, I saw this magpie perched on a hydro pole and not far on a whimsical dachshund. This is some of the most scenic farming land in the whole country, not to mention the most productive. It gladdens the heart to see it on a beautiful winter’s day.
