Water feature under construction at last!

After a couple of false starts because of heavy rain and a delay in finding suitable stone, my water feature is finally under construction. I arrived home from Canberra at night to find what can only be described as a construction site in the garden.

Looking forward to long Tassie evenings and the sound of trickling water

I was so excited I got up early this morning to have a proper look and there it was, a couple of big holes, lots of plastic and some magnificent field stones. I am so lucky as the stone is exactly what I had hoped it would be with lots of lichen and rough and worn edges. It will be so good to have such a special place to relax as the days lengthen and the evenings become warmer.

  1. Wow Christine – that’s serious work in a small space. Looks like it’s been very carefully planned around what’s in the garden already, like that little tree.

It’ll be fabulous to have it finished – the Chas Chasm or Chaser Cascades perhaps?

What could be better than sitting on a rock on a balmy evening, listening to the sound of water, surrounded by fragrant plants, and with a beautiful resident owl to top it off… A special place indeed 🙂
