Sydney Harbour: The Ultimate Water Feature

The Royal Botanical Gardens in Sydney are magnificent and especially so on a gorgeous spring day. They are a short walk from the Commonwealth Parliamentary Offices and in a matter of minutes you can be transported to a different world. I am partial to a good water feature and what more could you ask  for than a backdrop of the Harbour, framed in the foreground by the wisteria growing along the balcony of the restaurant and the ponds with lots of water fowl.

There are several places where water enhances the experience including near the rainforest walk where there is a flowing creek choked with water lilies and a resident tortoise. I was particularly interested in the pitcher plants in pots as I am looking for ideas for my own pond.
