I have recently had this old tractor seat cemented into a sunny sheltered spot with a lovely view of the river.
It came from the farm at Wesley Vale and was from one of Dad’s old tractors and so when I glance at it, I see him in my mind’s eye with his old sportscoat recycled as a farm coat, hat with the top out of it and pipe in mouth setting out for a days’ work. One of the things I like about creating a garden is being able to incorporate plants and things that have been given to me or remind me of people or occasions. So I have dad’s seat, Sophie’s she oak, Pip’s miniature iris, …what next?
